Common name: Rubber plant
Native to: The Ficus genus is native to the tropics of East Asia - the 'Robusta' originates from India and Indonesia.

*** Plant size on delivery: Approx. 40cm with pot ***
Difficulty: Easy
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Direct sunshine will generally scorch the leaves although a few hours of morning sunshine is fine. Will tolerate lower light areas.
Water: Drench the plant with tepid water and allow to drain. Allow the potting mix dry out before the next watering. These plants are forgiving if underwatered, whereas root rot is a far more difficult recovery.
Temperature: These plants enjoy typical indoor temperatures (18-24°C / 64-75 F)
Humidity: No specific humidity requirements, although higher humidity would be preferable.
Fertiliser: Once the plant has acclimatised to its position, a weak solution of general houseplant fertiliser can be applied monthly throughout summer.
Potting mix: We pot these in a loose, chunky, well draining potting mix.
Notes: Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp sponge to keep them clean & glossy.
